As a Certified M.S.T.R® Scar Release Therapy practitioner, I offer a gentle approach to addressing scar tissue for all ages. Scars from falls, cuts, burns, or surgeries often hide deeper damage to muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and lymphatic pathways.

Using specialised techniques, I carefully work to release adhesions, ease discomfort, and improve mobility. Whether your scar is recent or years old, my goal is to support your body's healing and help you move beyond the limitations of scar tissue.

Scar treatment: what it can do

Scar Release Therapy is effective on:

Frequently asked questions

Is it correct that scars can have emotional content?

Yes, scars can have emotional content. This may be obvious in that we may not look or want to touch the scar through to a complete denial of the scar existing. When this is the case the treatment may also require the support of counselors or other support people after the treatment.

How long will the treatment be?

Treatment is initially one hour to ensure the full background and treatment plan is discussed. Then further treatments may be 30 minutes for small scars and up to an hour for more complex scars.

Do you offer Scar Tissue Release at both clinics?

Does Medical Insurance cover treatments?

Southern Cross Insurance covers all of my treatments if you have Wellbeing One or Wellbeing Two policies with the Body Care Module added to it as I am a Level 6 MANZ registered Massage Therapist. You can use the Easy-claim payment within the clinic. This saves having to pay and then submit receipts to your provider. Other Insurance companies may pay retrospectively. I am happy to provide receipts for treatments.
